Did Janesville Subaru go above and beyond, provide exceptional service, or support causes that are important to you? We'd love to hear about it.
In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.
In 2020, Subaru and its retailers made a donation to Feeding America to provide 50 million meals to help feed people in need during the COVID-19 crisis,* making meals available at 199 local food banks across the country.
*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.
Subaru and our retailers are committed to protecting and preserving the Earth, not just by our words, but also by our actions.
More than 13 million pieces of hard-to-recycle waste collected and recycled through TerraCycle®.
Subaru believes we all should have a chance to lead a healthy life. That's why Subaru and its retailers, like us, partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) and their local hospital or cancer treatment center to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by retailers and Subaru customers in their stores, to support patients facing cancer. Through our partnership with LLS, we've supported nearly 350,000 cancer patients nationwide. We're proud to be LLS's largest automotive donor.
Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning(R) by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers will have supported more than 470,000 students nationwide and are proud to be their largest corporate supporter.
Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home. That's why Subaru and its retailers, like us, partner with a local animal shelter every October to provide direct financial assistance and host adoption events to help animals find loving homes. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, we have donated over $51 million, which has supported the adoption, rescue, transport, and health of over 420,000 animals. We're proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA.
Subaru and its retailers believe in giving back to our communities. That's why for every new vehicle sold or leased during the Subaru Share the Love event, Subaru and its retailers, like us, makes a donation to national charities that our owners care about and to over 2,100 local charities where Subaru owners live and work.
Now, after 15 years, Subaru and our retailers have donated over $256 million to charity all to give back and to make the world a better place.
Our Love Promise can be seen in various partnerships with local charities and non-profits. We're grateful for the opportunity, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve it as well.
Subaru and Janesville Subaru believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here.

The sky may have been overcast, but smiles were shining when Janesville Subaru made their annual delivery to Mercy Health on July 9th. The Subaru team arrived with several boxes of warm fleece blankets and handwritten notes of encouragement for the cancer patients of Mercy Health. Amy Carey of Mercy Health thanked Jeff, Deana and Hailey of Janesville Subaru for thinking of their oncology patients once again. Over the past nine years of this partnership between The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Subaru retailers across the country, we have been able to reach nearly 350K patients, strengthening relationships with local hospitals and reaching new patients to connect them to critical resources we provide. Blood cancer patients and their families are encouraged to reach out to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Information Resource Center for support and resources at (800) 955-4572 or https://www.lls.org/support-resources/information-specialists.

On behalf of the House of Mercy Homeless Center, I would like to thank Janesville Subaru for your generous donation of more than 100 warm coats for our residents. Your contribution through Operation Warm will give our residents the opportunity to have a nice, new coat and stay warm during the winter months. We appreciate your kindness! The House of Mercy Homeless Center creates a strong safety net for homeless and at-risk families by providing a broad continuum of services which begins with basic shelter. Last year, close to 800 individuals found a warm bed waiting at the shelter. Once crisis needs are met, programs are offered to foster self-sufficiency. We provide shelter today and the tools needed to independently maintain shelter for a lifetime. Your generosity will help to ensure that our neighbors continue to receive temporary shelter and support that helps them during their most desperate times. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of these families. – Chad Salmon, House of Mercy Homeless Center Manager

Thank you to Janesville Subaru for providing vital support to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin over the last decade! We couldn’t be more thrilled to be one of the Hometown Charities. Their support has grown over the years with us all having a goal of hitting $20,000 donated – and in 2022, we did it! Support like this is vital for us to continue caring for over 2,000 pets every year, including spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, preventative medications, extraordinary medical intervention, a well-balanced diet, enrichment, and overall daily care 365 days a year. The remarkable support of Janesville Subaru doesn’t stop there. The whole team at Janesville Subaru consistently supports HSSW through adoption events, spay and neuter clinics, promotions on social media, adopting, and so much more. We’re beyond thankful for Janesville Subaru’s incredible generous support and being such a wonderful friend to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin. We couldn’t do what we do without you! Thank you, Kaitie Swedlund Business Development Director Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin

Our friends at Janesville Subaru partnered with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society® (LLS) to deliver hope and warmth to blood cancer patients at Mercy Health Cancer Center on June 20th. Janesville Subaru and hospital staff were present to unpack Janesville Subaru’s generous donation of 80 blankets and Messages of Hope for families battling cancer. Also in attendance was LLS staff member, Hannah Reynolds, accompanied by 2-time blood cancer survivor, Krista Shortreed, who was overjoyed to be included in such a special event. Krista is a bright light and continues to be a motivating figure for LLS. This incredible act of generosity was warmly received by hospital staff and cancer patients. Thank you so much Janesville Subaru staff for providing messages of hope and reminding cancer patients that there’s a big community supporting them along their journey!

Through our partnership with Janesville Subaru, we were able to help 114 pets go home again in the month of October. This included one extra special underdog named Precious. Precious came to HSSW back in August with an unsightly skin infection. We immediately began a treatment regimen of a prescription diet and medications to clear it up. Over time, Precious improved – her skin became less and less irritated, her fur began to grow back, and she began to fall in love with the staff (we of course returned the love). With her new outlook on life, Precious was finally able to go home again to a loving family with another dog pal to romp around with. THANK YOU, Janesville Subaru! We couldn’t do what we do without your support!

Janesville Subaru recently gifted the cancer patients of Mercy Health Cancer Center in Janesville, WI. This partnership is important to the Subaru staff as they look forward to doing this every year to help cancer patients in their local community. This gift of Messages of Hope from Subaru customers, arts and craft kits and 80 fleece blankets were accepted by Mercy Health Cancer Center staff to be distributed to patients over the coming months. Mercy Health team member says, “We are so lucky and humbled to have such a wonderful business partner who cares for our patients like we do. Our patients are always so grateful, and we love seeing the looks on their faces when they receive the blankets.” The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is proud to be able to connect great healthcare facilities with generous community partners.

Thank you, Janesville Subaru, for all of your support to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin each year! We simply could not save the lives of the 5,000 pets that come through our doors every year without your support. The monetary support of Janesville Subaru is incredibly generous, and the generosity does not stop there! The Team at Janesville Subaru is always checking in with us, promoting adoption, and supporting us in ways beyond the dollars and cents of it all. Many of their team members have adopted from HSSW and continue to check in to keep adding to their families. Recently, we partnered together to put on an adoption event that allowed each pet adopted that day to go home with a free collar and identification tag. This means those pets went home again and will stay home again. One of those pets was Pumpkin Spice. Pumpkin Spice was displaced by Hurricane Ida and needed a second chance. That’s when we stepped in. Pumpkin Spice and ten of her friends flew to Wisconsin and were picked up at the airport by our team. Because of the support of Janesville Subaru, we were able to give Pumpkin Spice the second chance she needed, help her go home again, and help her stay home.

Thank you Janesville Subaru for all of your support to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin each year! We simply could not save the lives of the 5,000 pets that come through our doors every year without your support. The monetary support of Janesville Subaru is incredibly generous, and the generosity does not stop there! This past October, we were able to partner with Janesville Subaru to throw an adoption event to help our pets find their forever homes. This event helped us to find home for over 15 pets in a matter of hours! One of those pets was Maggie. Maggie had been in and out of our shelter periodically since 2016. During her most recent visit to our facility, we were unable to connect with her owners, so we began searching for a new family for Maggie. One that would love her not only in spite of her quirks, but because of them! Because of our partnership with Janesville Subaru, we were able to do just that. Maggie is now resting easy in her forever home enjoying all that life has to offer her.

The Wisconsin Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Janesville Subaru had the privilege of delivering Blankets of Hope and inspirational messages to Mercy Health Center on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. The nurses and navigators were thrilled to have the program and were excited to distribute blankets to the patients. One nurse said, “It is amazing how much something as simple as a blanket can mean to a person in treatment. I am thrilled to be able to offer my patients something special to remind them that they are not alone.” We are truly grateful for Janesville Subaru's continued partnership and support of the Wisconsin cancer community.

Thank you to Janesville Subaru for providing vital support to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin for the last 5 years. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be their non-profit partner, as the results have been incredible! Annual donations have grown tremendously each year, from approximately 3,000 to 5,000, to 9,600 to more than 17,400 this year! The remarkable support of Janesville Subaru doesn’t stop there. General Manager, Jesse Sullivan, and Janesville Subaru Rockstar, Deana Burghardt Watry, have championed Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin events that include adoption events and our first ever public Spay Day event this past fall. We’re beyond thankful for Janesville Subaru’s incredible generous support and for being such a wonderful friend to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin. We couldn’t do what we do without you!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society had the opportunity to partner with Janesville Subaru at Mercy health Hospital for the Subaru Loves to Care program—a program committed to improving the world and lives of its people. This is the third consecutive year that Mercy patients have been treated to gifts from Subaru. Mercy’s healthcare providers expressed their gratitude for the gifts, remarking that each year, the patients are beyond grateful for the high-quality gifts, and the messages of support they receive from community members! We are so fortunate to work with a team that spreads love, hope, and warmth all while making an impact in the community. A huge thanks to our friends at Janesville Subaru for making this visit possible!

A generous donation of 150 science trade books will help the students of Edison Middle School make real world connections in science classes. Developing critical thinkers and good content readers are two very important goals for our science department and these books will assist with both. Thank you Subaru of Janesville for this investment in the future of our community.

I have no complaints about Subaru! Since the day I have bought my first Subaru I’ve been in love. Our Subaru dealership is new in our town. They broke off of another chain dealer. I was hesitant about going to a Subaru dealer where none of the employees loved subaru as much as their customers. I used to travel a hour away to go to Madison Wisconsin where they have highly reputable dealers. Since then I’ve been giving our local dealer a chance and I’m very happy that they treat me the same no matter what subaru I bring. I feel as I’m a valued customer when I go there and it makes me feel better and the staff at the janesville dealership are awesome and helpful

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is honored to partner with Subaru of Janesville for the month of June to bring hope and warmth to local cancer patients at Mercy Health Cancer Center. Mercy went out of their way to personally deliver blankets to cancer patients the morning of the delivery. The staff and patients are LOVING the blankets, craft kits and inspirational messages. Thank you for delivering Love To Care Packages to cancer patients in Janesville!
